Do you remember what life was like before kids?

Were your days filled with peace and quiet and things of leisure?

Now can you imagine your life without them?

They really do grow up fast and are SO eager to learn all about the world and everything in it.

We still have many days before he's grown and can show his children his favorite place to skip rocks.

Soon these hands will do many important things. Soon they won't be small.

So I cherish these times.

 These sunny, Spring afternoons.

Bike rides around the neighborhood, stopping at the park,  by the lake, at then end of the street. Attempts to skip stones turn into big splashes and giggles.
We sit quiet on a bench and watch the boats.
Will we come here in another ten years and sit together? When he's 20 and I'm almost 50?
When life is much different for us both.

"Make your father and mother proud of you; give your mother that happiness." Proverbs 23:25 GNB

Happy Mother's Day!

Blessings,

Forever 31 mama

  1. Ah, the shortness of life. Children grow up far too quickly that we have to take time to treasure every moment we can with them. Your son is so blessed to have a mom like you who cherishes him and special moments together. :) Thank you, Krista.

  2. When my daughter was born 11 years ago, I thought time would stand still. Yet, with each new year, it seems to speed up...I guess that's part of the crazy, wonderful ride of motherhood! I need to remember to stop and breathe her in, see her with fresh eyes and just love on her... Thank you for the reminder! Happy early Mother's Day to you!

    1. Me too Kristin! Time is flying and I'm trying to remember this so I can soak it all in (even the rough days because they can be looked at as character building phases 😊).
I hope you are having a great Mother day and enjoying time with your daughter!

      Blessings,
