It's 20 days into this 31 days challenge!  I can almost see an end in sight!
I'm really pushing hard to finish strong.

Maybe you've popped over to see what this is all about. Maybe my content isn't what you expected.  Honestly, this topic is out of my comfort zone.  I am not a nutritionist, a fitness coach, personal trainer, dietitian, yogi etc... I am a working mama that's trying to change some bad habits and gain some good habits.  I am in no way perfect. I mess up daily.  The thing is, I"m working hard not to beat myself up and throw in the towel when I've made bad choices.  This time around is different.  I'm not allowing myself to fall back into sloth mode.

I've wanted to join up and write 31 days for the past 2-3 years but always chickened out. This year, I took a step of faith and I signed up.
Not only did I sign up, I signed up to write about something different. This has caused me to stretch in a new direction.  As with all new things, it's felt a little foreign.

If you have read any of my typical posts, I write a lot of what God puts on my heart. This past year, I've been writing about my journey of grief after losing a close friend to suicide. Generally, I'm an encourager. I love to tell stories that people can relate to. I share my struggles hoping that someone else is going through a something similar and doesn't feel so alone. That's all.

I may continue to write some more health and fitness related pieces occasionally, once the 31 days challenge comes to an end. Who knows, maybe next go round, I'll choose something else to stretch me a bit further again.

  1. I'm proud of you for committing to write 31 days and even stretching yourself to something different, Krista. That takes courage. So does your commitment to healthier eating. As I read this, I heard the encouragement extend into other parts of our lives - the message to not give up, to not beat ourselves up when we mess up but to get up again. Thank you. Blessings and hugs!

    1. Thank you Trudy, Your words mean more than you know! :)
